Windshield

While visiting Chris' parents up on Long Island, someone decided to throw an empty 750 of alchol at Chris' windshield. Dented the hood too!

We got out as we drove up to NY for the holiday, Kitty moved to take over the pedal pushing.

Ring on Finger

Someone said it was hard to tell what the ring looked like just in the box, so... tada!

Ring!

So after I got back from my trip to Colorado (job interview!) Chris picked me up and brought me back home. Once in the garage at our house, he proceeded to have me take the ring out of the back seat and proposed... I can't say it wasn't memorable, but it was a little less than romantic.

Freezer

We got a freezer off craigslist for $50. It's being spray painted blue.

Flowers

Some of the bulbs I planted actually came up as flowers... Now if only the weeds around them would die.

AC Back

AC was fixed earlier in the week, thankfully. And since it was almost 90 the other day, we tested it. :-)

Air Conditioning

Of course, our AC is not working. It's only 85 degrees in the house right now, which isn't bad. I guess having it break before it gets really really hot is a good thing? Georgia is laying around panting, and kitty has vanished under the deck.

Turtle

There was a turtle outside in the backyard.

Georgia didn't see it until we pointed it out.

Roses, maybe

We moved these from the front and they are now flowering! Although they don't really look like roses to me, they do have the thorns...

Cute Trees

A Kwanzan Flowering Cherry. Of course I didn't take any photos while there were flowers.

Pink Japanese Magnolia. Again, by the time I thought to take some pictures of the pretty pink flowers, they were all gone.

This is the front where we moved lots of bushes out and planted a few flowers and bulbs.

It looks like a bulb is actually starting to grow! Now if only I could remember what was planted there...

Screen Doors

Probably make me happier, at least until it gets REALLY hot out. :-)

No Red Paint

Decided to take Georgia (the dog) for a walk after dinner instead of paint. Maybe not a long term good plan, but the weather was so nice...

Chris is discouraged about the lack of book availability in the current setup, so painting might be on the weekend list of to dos...

Rearrange the Computers

Since I got a new computer (& 20" monitor!!!) I had to rearrange my desk a little. Also had to replace the stupid printer that died.

Second Tivo

The second tivo got setup! It goes through the cable box so it gets more channels, like BBC America, which plays a show called "Robin Hood" which I might record...

Extra Bedroom Furniture

My brother & Mom were kind enough to drive a 16' truck up to drop off some of my stuff. Yes, there was more of my stuff in the truck than my brother's...

Tormenting Pets

Chris thought it might be fun to wrap up kitty and dress Georgia...
